There is still a major battle roaring between federal immigration agents and the Nassau County Police Department.
Congressman Peter King held a meeting Wednesday between the two groups to try to help mend fences over the recent immigration raids.
ICE Assistant Secretary of Operations John Clark and Nassau Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey both attended the meeting. However, the outcome of the meeting was that both sides agreed to disagree.
Mulvey claims ICE mislead the department and arrested 40 people, when it was only looking for three. Nassau police say the ICE agents acted like cowboys and didn?t cooperate during the raids.
ICE officials say they did cooperate. They add their agents were always on the same page as the Nassau police officials.
King says he just wants the two groups to find some common ground. Meanwhile, ICE agents and Nassau police officers continue to work together. For prior News 12 coverage of the ICE raids, go to channel 612 on your digital iO cable box and select iO Extra.
