? A Hunts Point father is considering legal action against Public School 48 after he says a substitute teacher assaulted his young son.
Rey Aviles says the teacher picked up his 7-year-old, dragged him and shoved his face into a desk because he thought the boy had called him a name from the lunch line. Aviles says his son was too scared to tell someone at school, but later told his mother. Aviles says the principal promised a full investigation, but school officials say they acted appropriately when they put the incident in the teacher?s file. Aviles says the substitute teacher told him he acted out because ?kids are getting out of control.?
News 12 The Bronx has reported several problems at the school, including claims that a group of students sexually assaulted another student.
