Residents in Levittown hit the streets Tuesday night to partake in the annual National Night Out program.
Organizers say hundreds turned out for fire and police department demonstrations, which included a car accident rescue and a mock DWI test. According to officials, the goal of the program is to boost crime prevention by bringing neighbors together and strengthening police and community partnerships.
Police officers say the more services a community is aware of and comfortable with, the more likely they will be able to work together to fight crime.
