Hundreds of Long Island residents took part in the 45th annual Shelter Island 10K & 5K Run/Walk on Saturday.

All proceeds from the event benefited local charities including the Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Each participant that completed the run and walk received a medal and shirt. A children’s run was also held at Fiske Field.
