Hundreds of Long Island cyclists are preparing to take part in the Empire State Ride, a charitable event that raises money for cancer patients and research.
The ride is in partnership with the Town of Oyster Bay and will begin at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park.
The event will include three different courses across the town for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.
The rides will bring participants through different areas of terrain and historic destinations including Roosevelt’s home at Sagamore Hill.
Over the past two years, the event has raised over $200,000 for the cause.
