More than 1,000 people hit the streets of Suffolk County Friday to support wounded heroes.
The Long Island portion of the Wounded Warrior Project's annual Soldier Ride was held. The Warriors walked and pedaled their way from the front steps of Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst to Overlook Beach in Babylon.
The ride is one of just 3 in the U.S. that allows community members to ride with the Warriors.
Organizers say all of the money raised through the bicycling event will stay in Suffolk to help local veterans.
