Kids enjoyed a traditional snow day on Monday, and many agreed that the day was great for some sledding.

Hundreds of kids and parents spent their snow day at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford.

"It's good memories I remember going sledding as a kid so it's nice to see them having that experience, too," says Bellmore resident Kristen Verska.

Kids were flying down the hills of the park in classic sleds and in inner tubes.

Parents and kids say it's a snow day tradition. "Just makes a good snow day. Core memories," says Bellmore resident Jen Farrell. "The kids were begging to go."
