Help is on the way for the south shore. The House has passed Congressman Andrew Garbarino’s Water Resources Development Act.
The act would increase flood risk management, storm damage prevention and coastal restoration including in the Town of Oyster Bay, Babylon, Islip and Brookhaven.
The act also plans to help restore beaches and storm damage reduction structures vital for protecting Long Island’s coastal communities.
