? A Mastic man flew home from Florida after his house alarm went off, only to be arrested in a drug bust.
Suffolk County police say they responded to a house alarm on Pentmoor Drive Friday morning. Instead of a burglar, officers say they found the door open and pounds of marijuana thrown about. Authorities obtained a search warrant and eventually confiscated more than 10 pounds of marijuana, about 1,000 ecstasy pills and more than 100 oxycodine pills. Police also took a gun, equipment used to grow and package drugs and $6,000 cash.
William Glennerster, 30, was in Florida at the time, but flew home after his alarm company notified him of the break-in. Police arrested him when he arrived at his Mastic home. Glennerster faces drug and weapon charges. His neighbors say they were unaware of the alleged drug operation.
