A series of thunderstorms will boom their way across Long Island this morning.
The storms will bring the potential for brief downpours and some gusts of wind. Though not severe, they could cause headaches for people traveling on the roads.

Wet weather is possible into early afternoon. Skies will begin to clear up after that. Temps will climb to about 75-80 degrees.
The better day of the weekend looks like Saturday, which will be mostly sunny with a high of 82-87 degrees.
Sunday will be cloudier with a chance for some late-day storms.
