A Holtsville woman who says she was molested by a priest took her complaint about his reinstatement to the Diocese of Rockville Centre?s bishop Sunday.
Janique Polimine says she asked Bishop William Murphy why William Logan was allowed to return to work. According to Polimine, the bishop replied he had already answered the question. The diocese reinstated Logan last month after a brief suspension, saying the abuse claims were unsubstantiated. The suspension was the result of complaints filed by Polimine and other women. Polimine claims Logan sexually abused her while she was a teen at a Seaford church.
Polimine also questions the validity of the investigation, saying she was told by a church representative to act out the abuse she suffered. The diocese maintains it followed procedure in the probe. Polimine has filed a lawsuit against the diocese.
