Residents celebrated the holiday season Tuesday with events in both Wyandanch and Farmingdale.

The Daleview Care Center in Farmingdale hosted its first Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting.

Event organizers say the goal the goal was to honor seniors and make them feel loved.

The hamlet of Wyandanch hosted its annual holiday tree lighting, which was rescheduled due to weather.

Attendees enjoyed hot chocolate, cookies, presents and more.
