The holiday light show at 14 Elwood Road has been entertaining the Centereach community for nearly a decade.
Last week, it became the backdrop for a special moment—a holiday proposal right in the front yard.
The Vicidomine family helped set up the surprise for fans of the display.
They’re also using the festive tradition to make a difference.
Donations collected at the display will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “It’s unfortunate that kids have to go through that in life,” said Michael Vicidomine. “So if there’s a way that we could help them with their dreams and wishes, that’s what we’re for.”
You can visit the light show Sundays through Thursdays from 5 to 9:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 11 p.m.
