It's time to try and capture the perfect holiday picture!
If you're headed to a photography studio to get your holiday photos, we've got some advice for you.
Photographer Doug Gordon from Patken studio in Lindenhurst says to coordinate your colors, keep it simple and dress comfortably. He also suggests that you bring extra outfits.
Gordon also has some tips for those that have decided to take their own pictures.
"Outside is the best place you can ever shoot and by a window because you use the light that's existing," he says.
Any time of the day works, as long as the subject is in shade and you're not shooting into the light.
Move your subject away from the background, just about 10 feet, that way you have a better shot.
