The holidays may look different this year, but the pandemic didn't stop the annual parade of boats up the Nautical Mile in Freeport this weekend.
The village held its 16th annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. Owners decorate their boats with Christmas lights and travel up and down the Woodcleft Canal on the Nautical Mile for everyone to see.
Village officials say fewer people came to watch this year due to the pandemic.
Organizers say about 40 boat owners usually participate in the parade but had about 20 for this year's event.
