A priest accused of sexual misconduct will soon lead parishioners again, despite a Holbrook woman?s pleas to have him removed by the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
Janique Polimine, 39, says Reverend William Logan restrained her and inappropriately touched her when she was a 13-year-old student at Saint James Parish in Seaford. The 65-year-old Roman Catholic priest was suspended in March while the diocese investigated the claim. Polimine says Bishop William Murphy recently sent her a letter, saying her claim was unsubstantiated. A woman, who now lives in Virginia, also complained about Logan?s conduct toward her as a teen at Saint Lawrence Parish in Sayville.
Polimine says her fight for justice isn't over yet. She plans to sue the diocese and Logan.
