It's been a difficult year all around, but there's something positive happening within Hofstra athletics.
A new campaign that hopefully will spark some change. Assistant Field Hockey coach Courtney Deena spearheaded a new campaign aimed at dismantling racism within college athletics.
“It's a topic that we almost shy away as a society and brings it to the forefront so we can address it head on,” says Deena.
The movement and its message have made an impact with Hofstra athletes.
As you walk through the Mack Complex you'll see many signatures from students supporting the cause.  The hope is, there will be one of these on campuses throughout the country.
So with each signature, the ‘No Locker For Racism’ movement gains steam and slowly shapes the future.
