Reconstruction of the iconic Sag Harbor Cinema will begin on Saturday with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The historic theater was gutted by fire in December of 2016.
The Sag Harbor Partnership, which raised millions to rebuild the property, hopes the cinema will reopen by this time next year.
Fundraising for construction costs will continue on July 8 at Sag Harbor’s Long Wharf.
