Richie Rosenkranz of the Woodcleft Fishing Station says the jump at the pump has some thinking twice about how far they go out and how long they stay on the water. However, boat retailers say sales have been steady, but customers now prefer smaller, more fuel-efficient models.
Boats generally have bigger gas tanks than vehicles and use more fuel. One boater paid $428 for 126 gallons. Still, many say it?s a luxury they are willing to pay for.
