Hicksville ceremony honors lives lost on 9/11

Monday marks 16 years since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and Hicksville residents came together Sunday to honor the heroes who gave their lives that day.
A solemn ceremony honoring those who died on Sept. 11 took place Sunday at the Hicksville Fire Department firehouse on Strong Street.
The goal of the event is to keep alive the memories of those who were lost.
Two members of the Hicksville Fire Department died on Sept. 11, 2001 – Chief Terry Farrell and honorary Chief George Howard.
