Hempstead woman accused of fatally striking NYPD officer charged in 13-count grand jury indictment

The Hempstead woman accused of fatally striking NYPD Officer Anastasios Tsakos has been charged in a 13-count grand jury indictment.
Jessica Beauvais is facing multiple charges including aggravated manslaughter, aggravated criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter and impaired driving.
Investigators say the 32-year-old was driving drunk with a suspended license when she hit Tsakos on the LIE in Queens last month.
Beauvais is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges later this month.
