A jury has convicted a Hempstead man of raping a woman back in 2009.Prosecutors say Alphonso Barnes dragged a woman onto the lawn of a Long Beach home and raped her for more than hour. He was on lifetime parole when he was arrested.Previous convictions include criminally negligent homicide, attempted burglary and robbery.Barnes is facing life in prison for the brutal attack.
