The constant rain was slowing down traffic everywhere Friday as drivers tried to avoid the massive puddles.
In certain areas, however, the flooding was unavoidable. Creek Road in Huntington was so flooded a car was almost halfway underwater. And the flooding was so bad on Route 110 in Huntington that the road was closed down near Gibson Avenue.
Some drivers that spoke with News 12 Long Island did have a positive outlook concerning the heavy rainfall, saying they are thankful all the precipitation wasn't actually snow.
