The heavy rain and high winds were enough to take down trees early this morning.

The heavy rain and high winds were enough to take down trees early this morning.
One tree hit a home on Rugby Drive in Shirley just before 6 a.m.  No one was injured.
The storm also led to several thousand outages and forced the LIRR to cancel a few morning trains.
