HEAT WAVE: Thursday marked day four of the heat wave. We tied the record high today of 92 degrees set in 1998.
RAIN: A stray shower could reach us late tomorrow but the best chance for rain coming up is Sunday into Monday when a front slides through.
TROPICS: Big story next week will be Hurricane Lee. Likely a major hurricane close to Long Island. One of the latest models shifted the storm west, which could impact the East End. We will watch closely to see if this trend continues. Either way we will be talking about rough water with rip currents, waves, beach erosion, and some coastal flooding for the second half of next week.
Storm Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says the heat will linger into Friday but some rain over the weekend will cool things down.
