Officials say six new mosquito samples have tested positive for the West Nile virus in Suffolk.
Health officials have found the West Nile mosquitoes in Lindenhurst, West Babylon, Islip, Rocky Point, Aquebogue and Southold.
So far no one has come down with the virus in Suffolk. However, health officials suggest you limit outdoor activities at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
Also, they are warning residents to wear insect repellant and long pants.
