The Nassau Department of Health on Sunday lifted its advisory against bathing in the water at 19 beaches in the county.
The advisory had been issued a day prior because of bacteria concerns following heavy rainfall Friday night.
Health officials say the beaches that were affected by the advisory typically see an increase in bacteria that may exceed bathing standards due to storm runoff after heavy rains.
The advisory had included 15 North Shore beaches and five South Shore beaches.
