A Hauppauge mom is accused of using the Web to harass another mom.
A friend of the alleged victim's family tells News 12 Long Island that 40-year-old Margery Tannenbaum, a social worker, posted a sexually suggestive online ad on Craigslist saying ?Looking for a good time?? When she got a response, police say Tannenbaum e-mailed the home telephone number of the woman she was having a fight with.
Tannenbaum's attorney tells News 12 Long Island, "This is a non-story that's being blown out of proportion." However, cyber bullying expert Roni Benson warns kids and parents don't realize how damaging Internet retaliation can be.
Tannenbaum was arrested and is facing charges of aggravated harassment. She could spend up to a year in jail if convicted. She is due back in court in July.
Suffolk police say the dispute began with an argument between the women's 9-year-old children.
