A Hauppauge candle company is making it its mission to help people of all abilities develop workplace skills.

Shine The Light Candle enlists the help of volunteers of all abilities.

Kristine Fitzpatrick got the idea to start the business from her baseball program for kids with disabilities called League of Yes when participants began to aged out.

Finding a job can be hard for people with special needs.

Shine The Light Candle gives volunteers work experience they need for employment.

"It makes me feel good as a person. I'm helping myself and helping my peers," says Veronica Contreras, of Brentwood.

Fitzpatrick says she's hoping she can pay employees soon.
