The Hampton Classic is canceled this year due to the pandemic.

The event would have been celebrating its 45th year in August in Bridgehampton.

The executive director says it's difficult and disappointing, but the board decided there is no other option.

The Hampton Classic is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the U.S. It will return in 2021.
