A Hampton Bays woman who thought she lost her phone and wallet forever received a call she didn't expect on Monday.
Lisa Carew accidently tossed her phone and wallet into her recycling bin the day before Easter.
An employee at the Islip Town Recycling Center came across the phone and the wallet on the sorting belt.
"I figured it was gone forever in here - I was really worried...that it was in the wrong hands," Carew said.
Carew gave the town employee a card and money to buy dinner for two to show her gratitude.
