2h agoA Hampton Bays man convicted of murder was sentenced Monday to 25 years to life in prison.
Alcides Lopez Cambara was found guilty in December of robbing and killing his romantic rival.
It happened after the 42-year-old became jealous when the victim called his girlfriend, told her it was his birthday and asked to see her.
Lopez Cambara, his girlfriend and two others then lured the victim out under the premise of celebrating and beat him to death.
Two of the other three involved in the murder are awaiting sentencing.
