WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
With a little less wind today than in previous days, it will feel a little better out in the Hudson Valley.
There were chances to see the Northern Lights the past two nights. But tonight that chance has backed down and we are not expecting more CMEs (Corona Mass Ejections) to come towards Earth for the time being.
Mostly dry conditions are expected today with temps trying to get close to 50 degrees.
The work week finishes with temps around 50 degrees and under mostly sunny skies as high pressure tries to move in overhead.
A system will move into the Northeast this weekend though, with rain arriving Saturday evening.
Showers will taper off by the Sunday midday hours with breezy to gusty winds to follow. But at least the temps will be near normal levels.
Next week is trending below the average of 53 degrees nearly daily.
