Police say two gunmen attempted to rob an 80-year-old man in North Woodmere Sunday, but the victim proved he wasn't a pushover.
The attack occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. when the victim stopped at a stop sign on the corner of Park Lane and Crestview Road. The attackers opened the man's car doors, threatened him with a gun and demanded his keys and wallet.
However, the victim refused, so the robbers struck him on the back of the head.
The man then started screaming, which caused the two attackers to flee.
