Residents in Amityville fear a shooter won't be brought to justice because of the "no snitching" culture on the streets.
Christopher Toney, 19, was shot four times early Sunday morning after getting into an argument with two men at a house party on Jefferson Avenue in North Amityville. He was shot in the leg, arm and in the back of the head.
Residents are skeptical that the shooter will actually be caught. They say the "no snitching" culture rules the streets.
"You know how everybody is, they're not going to snitch on [anybody]," says Wyandanch resident Sean Abrahams. "So it's going to be very hard to find that person."
Toney has been released from the hospital.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
