Some communities in Nassau County are coming together to end gang violence.
The group Helping End Violence Now, or HEVN, marched down Nassau Road in Roosevelt and ended at the Freeport border to call for an end in violence.
Organizers say gang violence, robberies and home invasions have plagued the community.
"When you have gangs in here, four of them at least, when you tell me there's robberies just about every day, when you tell me that a car's broken into or a home is broken into...that shouldn't happen," says Aaron Scott.
Organizers say they plan for the march to be an annual or biannual event.
