A Great Neck man acquitted of rape has filed a lawsuit against his accuser and the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.
Police arrested Yossef Kahlon on rape and other charges in August 2021.
Kahlon says he met the woman on a dating site and that he paid her for their time together. He says the woman made up the rape claim because she wanted more money.
Kahlon says he was falsely accused and wants compensation for the damage to his name.
"It's kind of like a stigma that stays with you and doesn't go away," Kahlon says. "Even when you Google my name, you're going to see a small little article that says acquitted, and all the rest is pictures of the case."
News 12 reached out to the woman named in the lawsuit but has not heard back.
