Gov. Hochul announces additional monkeypox vaccines heading to Long Island

Suffolk County will be receiving 1,800 doses and another 1,000 for Nassau.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that Long Island will be getting nearly 3,000 doses of the monkeypox vaccine.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the vaccine demand across the country exceeds supply right now.
Suffolk County will be receiving 1,800 doses and another 1,000 for Nassau.
Nassau and Suffolk currently have five monkeypox cases.
