Gov. Andrew Cuomo has proposed a complete ban of all flavored nicotine vaping products and ads targeting young people.
Dozens of vaping related deaths have already been reported across the nation.
Cuomo's proposal would allow the State Department of Health to regular and ban the sale of chemicals used in vaping-related products and oils deemed to be a public health risk. It would also prohibit online, phone and mail order sale of e-cigarettes.
This will be Cuomo's 15th proposal in his upcoming 2020 State of the State.
