Gov. Andrew Cuomo chooses former Rep. Kathy Hochul as running mate during Democratic nomination convention in Melville

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced at today's state Democratic convention on Long Island that a former congresswoman from Buffalo will be his running mate.
Cuomo announced that former Rep. Kathy Hochul is his choice to be New York's next lieutenant governor.
The governor made the announcement via video message during the first day of the convention at the Huntington Hilton in Melville.
Democrats also appointed former Gov. David Paterson as their new committee chairman, and endorsed the re-election campaigns of the attorney general and comptroller.
Cuomo is expected to be formally endorsed for re-election tomorrow.
