Wal-Mart says a technical glitch on its website caused items to be listed at a fraction of what they normally sell for.

There were $600 electronics going for $9, and children's electric cars were listed at for $30. Many of the items quickly sold out, and Wal-Mart's entire website briefly went offline with a note stating that the outage was due to "planned maintenance."

The retail giant stressed that its site was not hacked.

A spokesman for Wal-Mart said the company is notifying customers who ordered these items that their orders have been canceled and they'll be refunded in full. In addition, it will send customers a $10 e-gift card that can be used toward future purchases at its stores or on its website.
