Island legislator says Gov. Andrew Cuomo should be impeached over the state’s
nursing home deaths scandal.
In an interview with Fox News, New York Rep. Michael Montesano, of Glen Head,
says he plans to ask the state legislature to consider the impeachment.
Demands for the governor’s resignation escalated last week after his secretary,
Melissa DeRosa, admitted that the administration delayed the release of data on
coronavirus deaths in nursing homes.
DeRosa says they were worried it would be used against them in a federal
investigation.
The governor has not yet spoken about the controversy.
