The Nassau Girl Scouts are shipping 60,000 boxes of cookies to men and women in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain and some to local military bases as well.
A sendoff from the scout headquarters in Garden City happened today for Operation Cookie.
This is the 11th year DHL has been involved with the cookie sendoff. The organization has helped transport over 13 million cookies so far to the Middle East for our troops.
Heroes should be getting their cookies within 48 hours.
