Nassau police are investigating an abduction attempt in Roslyn Heights.
Someone tried to kidnap a 14-year-old girl Monday at the corner of Roslyn Road and Church Street, police say. The authorities were called shortly after 8 p.m.
Neighbors say the victim was abducted, but managed to escape near the Bar Beach Park on West Shore Road off Roslyn Road in Port Washington. Police would not confirm or deny that account.
Police have not yet released any information on the suspect.
