It's a Christmastime tradition for many families: putting the gumdrop chimney, icing shutters and sprinkle siding onto a gingerbread house.
Gingerbread University provides a fun atmosphere and all the goodies needed to make colorful gingerbread creations.
Owner Fred Terry, known as Gingerbread Fred, is a former culinary professor at Nassau Community College. His gingerbread venue has been warming hearts for years.
"We want it to be a familial activity, with mom and dad and grandma and grandpa doing a focused art project," he says.
If you can't make it during the busy holiday season, not to worry: Gingerbread University is open year-round with all sorts of seasonal projects to create.
