Excitement is building for Jennifer Lopez's first-ever hometown concert, but many are also dreading the traffic it's expected to create.
Concert goers planning to drive should expect delays in the Orchard Beach area and allow plenty of travel time.
However, fans are encouraged to leave their cars at home and take mass transit instead. Special event buses will be provided between the Pelham Bay Park 6 train station and Orchard Beach lasting until all ticket holders have left after the concert.
Other commuters should anticipate possible delays or detours on local bus lines, including the Bx5, Bx12, Bx12 Select Bus Service, Bx23, Bx24, Bx29 and the Q20.
City Island residents concerned about a traffic jam and access to their neighborhood will have one traffic lane dedicated to them, their visitors and emergency vehicles.
