An attorney from Garden City has been accused of committing a Medicaid fraud scheme.
Prosecutors say Anthony Cornachio gave kickbacks to two Brooklyn housing operators who forced residents to attend Cornachio's Medicaid-enrolled drug treatment programs.
They say residents were allegedly threatened with eviction if they didn't comply.
Prosecutors say Cornachio then submitted reimbursement claims of up to $1.7 million.
