Family and friends rallied around the rookie NYPD officer Tuesday accused of driving drunk and killing a fellow officer in Wantagh.
Danielle Baymack, 22, appeared in Nassau County Court for a scheduling hearing. Baymack is charged with manslaughter and DWI in connection to the accident that killed her friend and fellow officer, 24-year-old Marlene Rivera. Baymack pleaded not guilty at a bedside arraignment at NUMC Saturday. Police say her blood alcohol level was .11 at the time of the crash, which is above the legal limit of .08.
Baymack is free on bond and currently suspended from the NYPD. She is due back in court on October 23.
