A south shore grocery store is shutting its doors.
The Fresh Grocer in Oakdale will be closing at the end of the month.
The grocery store opened in August of 2024 in The Lighthouse Commons.
Owner Ken Thompson tells News 12 it was a difficult decision, saying sales did not perform as expected.
All 60 employees have been offered jobs at one of the Thompson family's three ShopRite locations on Long Island.
Most employees will be taking those positions, according to a spokesperson.
