Yankee great Mariano Rivera cut the ribbon Saturday as the new owner of Mariano Rivera Honda in Port Jefferson.

He met fans for a photo op and gave out free car washes, but Rivera said he was not just there to sell cars.

"We just want to be the best. We just want to give the best service that we can do. I love the community, am a big part of the community and that's what it's all about. It's not just to do business and walk away. It's not about that. We want to do business and also be part of the community," Rivera said.

Rivera also owns a car dealership in Mount Kisco in Westchester County.
